Minimum Fundraising Amount: $250/per person or $1,000/team of four

Minimum Fundraising: $350

GO! St. Louis 5K Run/Walk

Minimum Fundraising: $100

GO! St. Louis, a local non-profit organization, encourages individuals and families in the St. Louis region to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle year round. The organization accomplishes this through community collaborations, school based programming and the creation of new and fun fitness events.

Fundraising Tips

  • Use your online Participant Center. Let it do the work for you: email friends and family, track your progress and share messages of hope. If your the team captain, you'll get a fundraising page for your team too!
  • Establish a letter writing campaign. Write to everyone you know and ask them to support you. Be sure to include a self-addressed stamped envelope, which makes donating convenient.
  • Make a strong personal pledge first! Click the Donate tab to make a donation. Your friends, family and co-workers will be more apt to sponsor an event that your are committed to yourself. Does your company match your charitable gift?
  • Put your largest pledge on the top line of your pledge sheet.
  • Educate yourself and your sponsors about MS and the Programs and Services the Gateway Area Chapter offers. Stress the importance of their donation, no matter how big or small.
  • Add a personal message to your voice mail. Remind your friends and family of your commitment to the cause and encourage them to call you back with a donation.
  • Ask everyone. Businesses you frequent, your employer, co-workers, friends, family, neighbors - anyone who is willing to listen.
  • Ask your spouse or other family members to help collect pledges too. Enlist the help of others to further your network of potential donors.
  • Make sure you thank your sponsors after the event. Remember you can use your online Participant Center to follow-up and send thank you emails.

3 Simple Steps to Get Started:

STEP #1 (mandatory)

Please download the Commitment Letter and email, fax or mail it to the National MS Society Office. Each runner will pledge to raise the minimum requirement ($100-$500 depending on the race) for the National MS Society.

STEP #2 (mandatory)

Register with GO! St. Louis – We'll provide you with a discount code, but we must receive your Commitment Letter before you can move on to STEP #2. Upon receiving your Commitment Letter, we'll send you an email with a registration link and your special registration code. Make sure to select the National MS Society as your chosen charity team.

STEP #3 (highly recommended)

  • Set up your fundraising page
  • After you register at gostlouis.org, you will receive an email with a link to your personal fundraising page from the National MS Society.
  • Follow steps to personalize your page – upload photos and add a story of why you are running
  • Share your link with family, friends and co-workers, and encourage them to support your efforts. You will raise your fundraising minimum in no time!
